Charlie is an email collaboration and archiving system that automatically ingests email sent and received by your team, files it for you according to your understanding of your client and non-client contacts, and makes your team's email searchable by all members of your team (with some strong permission restrictions of course!).

Charlie becomes your team's single source of truth for all email communications, and give you peace of mind that you've got a full compliant archive of all your client communications.

How does it work?

Charlie automatically talks to your email provider and as new emails are sent and received by members of your team, Charlie takes a copy of those emails for itself. At the same time, it keeps in sync with your source of client and non-client contact data so that it can determine who and what emails relate to, and files them for you automatically.

All emails are then accessible to your team within Charlie (limited by your team's privacy settings of course!) which means anyone can pick up a client file and get up to speed in a jiffy. And as people come and go in your team, knowledge and history don't head out the door with them!

Tip: When we say all emails we don't really mean all emails. Charlie limits the emails a user can see according to the privacy settings of your team. Learn more about privacy.

Does Charlie replace my inbox?

Not at all. We know that everyone likes to manage their inbox a little differently (we're looking at you "3,000 unread emails" people!) and Charlie doesn't want to change that one bit. Instead, Charlie works along side your inbox to give your team a view of emails that they currently can't see, and to take on the burden of storing and filing your inbox in a way that your team members will understand.

You're free to manage your inbox however you like, safe in the knowledge that by the time an email has reached your inbox, Charlie has already taken a copy. Done with an email? Delete it! Charlie has you covered.

Your inbox is your email, while Charlie is your team's email.

But what about privacy?

Charlie takes care of managing privacy for you according to rules you set either within your CRM, or directly within Charlie. Got a client who you don't want everyone in the team to access? No problem! Is there a certain internal email address in the team that no one else should see? Charlie can handle that too.
